My 4 yo Fritz died almost 5 years ago and went through a number of similar
issues...got HUGE for no reason I could tell...ended up getting his adrenals
removed and popping his stitches several times...eventually ended up with
diabetes and passed away from liver cancer. I think if you check the
archives on "Fritz" you'll be able to track some of it.
The vet and I to this day do not know what caused him to gain so much
weight...he started gaining it in Feb/March and passed away in Sept., so he
had many many blood tests, urine tests, fecal tests, Xrays, etc. Nothing
ever seemed to indicate the problem. However once the diabetes developed it
was just a few days later and he passed -- the gross necropsy showed liver
cancer that had spread. Hopefully that is not the case with your little one.
