This is in reference to the "loose poop" portion of your post.
My ferret, Vinnie, lost his buddy in December, as well, and developed IBD
shortly thereafter. Of course, your vet will have to determine what your
"little boy" has and monitor meds, but in addition to Vinnie's meds for IBD,
my vet has me give pumpkin to control loose stools/diarrhea (up to a
teaspoon for diarrhea, decreasing as symptoms diminish, stopping when stools
are well formed). Vinnie loved the taste from day-one. I can put his meds
right in the pumpkin.
It works wonderfully.
Hope this helps and is not in violation of the site's rules about food. I
couldn't find that link to verify.
