Hi Tony,

Its all fat! He even has fat pads on his back.

My vet has added Prednisolone on a strict schedule. 0.3mL BID @ 5mg/mL for the next 2 weeks, which I am supposed to gradually reduce and then stop altogether. He has increased the Diazoxide to 0.6mL BID @ 50mg/mL reducing only after the pred is stopped, until we find an optimal dose that works for him. He started this new regimen yesterday and its already making a difference in his energy levels.

My understanding is that its normally the other way around but my vet really doesn't want Sampson on the pred if at all possible because of his compromised immune system and the obvious weight gain.
