[Moderator:

Burns need prompt veterinary evaluation. Time to
call your vet and find an emergency vet if yours can
not be reached. A vet who knows the
individual may be able to tell if a hands-on emergency
visit is avoidable or not.

Remember that many over the the counter meds
which are safe for humans are NOT safe for other
species, including ferrets.=20

I have found a few sites but do not know how good
they are.=20

If an address does not come up and %20
is in it leave a space in place of those characters to
see if that works for your browser. Be sure to grab
the entire URL or it will not have any chance of working.

Also, I am surprised that one suggests ice because I've read
that can cause further damage, so to instead cool the area
with a long time under cool running water.

Notice in

to avoid ointments. Of course, many ointments that are okay
for humans are not okay for ferrets and some are downright
dangerous.]
