To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
The combination of diazoxide and pred is not uncommon. I have been giving it to Sabrina since October. If the dosage is set for 0.1 pred and 0.2 diazoxide twice a day, that is the lowest dosage for the combination. The combination has worked well for Sabrina all these months, with no episodes of low blood glucose.

[Dosing varies according to individual needs within the
normal range for that med.
Just something to remember:
ml amounts alone don't tell dose for medications that
come in multiple concentrations so then the mg/ml
info is needed from the container. The mg amount is
what is ultimately needed to be calculated and the dosing
can also depend on how many times a day the med is given
and what the weight of the ferret is, so often putting the
numbers in a reply does not matter, but in the rare case when
it does the full info is needed.
