This is very interesting, I've not seen this study. Of the three "humpers" that I've had that have gone to surgery the first was an adenoma of the left gland followed by carcinoma of the right some years later (2-4, I'd have to check my records), the second was an adenoma of the left gland (with sexual aggression ceasing following removal), and the third was also an adenoma of the left. The third has been on lupron going on 3 years now and he's been doing quite well, the adrenal gland (which was not markedly enlarged) was removed during splenectomy surgery, but would have been left otherwise. I also currently have three late alter males (aged 2-3 years) that have also displayed sexual aggression that lupron seems to be working well for (ie; no more humping). On the other hand, I've had quite a few with carcinomas that did not display sexual behaviors.
