Subject: [ferrethealth] Treatment for adrenal ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi. I have a three and a half year old sprite with adrenal disease. She's had lupron shots(not sure of exact dosage) monthly for three months now, with much success. All symptoms have disappeared(hair loss, aggression, sexual aggression).
I've had a few people try to convince me that lupron/melatonin alone has a far better success rate long term than surgery(no idea which gland is affected as of yet).
Any ideas, suggestions from either the vets on this list, or others with experience?
I've tried checking the archives, but must have typed in the wrong query or keywords.
Thanks, Sherry
