While it isn't unusual to have hair come out in clumps during seasonal shedding it isn't normal to see bald spots. The type of hair loss you describe is more in line with adrenal disease.

Intestinal problems can be linked to adrenal disease.

You do not need to see a host of symptoms for adrenal disease to be present. In fact, you don't need to see any symptoms at all.

I have never heard of false positives with the U of Tenn panel, though I have heard of false negatives. For me, the panel has always been accurate.
