I would not give dog or cat medicine to a ferret for anything without
checking with a vet. What is safe for dogs or cats may not be safe
for ferrets.
In my experience vets tend to recommend external, topical flea
treatments like Frontline or Advantage, both of which must be
purchased from a vet's office. They have used the kitten formula for
my ferrets, not the version for adult cats or dogs,
A vet appointment is definitely in order.
