Subject: [ferrethealth] frequent peeing
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi I have a 2year old castrated hob called Oscar who over the past few months looked like he couldn't poo. After taking him to the vets she said it was his bladder and thought he had cystitus. He was eventually taken in and had an operation to open his urethra and flush him out. There was no stones or crystals found. He has been on diazepam to relax him but it made him too doped up. I have now been told as he is not getting any better that it might be a prostate problem and apart from a costly inplant there is nothing that can be done. He gets up and trys to pee 4 or 5 times with not a lot coming out and he is grunting as he is straining. When he gets past this he is still playful and eating well, although a little on the skinny side. Has anybody else had this problem or got any suggestions. I don't want to lose him.I live in England
