Subject: [ferrethealth] Drinking water through a carbon fish tank filter

My cats have a big glass bowl with a small fish tank filter on it that they drink out of. It has the carbon filter on it (which I really do not know what is in the filter itself). Would anyone have any idea if this would be harmful to ferrets to drink out of this filtered water over time? They love snorkeling and drinking out of this bowl. We change the water every other day and ice daily. Thanks for any info,
