Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Can you give Pepto and Pepcid at the same time-concurrently?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi, Dawn,

Our vet had us discontinue Pepto when starting Pepcid. I would not
give them both at once.

I agree with the moderator. You have a ferret in desperate need of
medical care who is in obvious pain. If you cannot get this ferret to
a vet you need to do what is best for the ferret and not for yourself.
That means surrendering the ferret to someone (generally a shelter or
rescue) who can give proper healthcare and find him or her another
loving home if and when they are well. Allowing a ferret to suffer
because you can't afford vet care is cruel. You have my sympathies
for your economic situation.

Regards,
Caity and the terrific trio
