Here are a few distemper and skin resources. I'd consider the possibility of allergies with secondary infection as well as several other possibilities for this one during the investigation. We personally have one who is very allergic to a seasonal pollen which is fortunately maintaining low enough levels this year but he can abscess very badly in the rough years and needs a lot of steroids and antibiotics then.
Are there any neural symptoms, or is it all skin problems and now some sneezing? Sorry, you have probably said, but I could use a refresher. Life in our human family has been very demanding in recent weeks, both in our core family and in extended families on both sides.
