Subject: [ferrethealth] Taviathan My 6 year old spayed female

my girl has hind leg weakness starting with a limp and splaying on slick surfaces.
all lymph nodes are swollen, alert when awake but sleeps alot, back is more humped than normal, has had three nodes aspirated no odd cells,
blood work came back with a SLIGHTLY elevated white blood cell count and some anemia i cannot remember if he said mild or a little anemic or just anemic. she eats, poops normally. adn has gained 2 ounces since last year. she is currently on some nasty tasting antibiotic and we are waiting to see if it helps. next step is to remove a node for further testing. this is the second vet since friday (first one said neuro-degenerative blah blah blah) and he really likes ferrets and listens to me. i was hoping someone out there will tell me something positive about her scenario. he also said 6 was young for a ferret!!
