Hello,

Sorry to hear of your sick gal. AT 6 years many little things such
as an infection can contribute weakness that will cause your ferret
an inability to maneuver slick floor surfaces.
An elevated white count means there is a infection in your
ferret. Infections can be low grade chronic, or acute. Low grade
infections can linger quite a while before the ferret actually appears ill.
The swollen lymph nodes are also an indicator of infection in many cases.

What antibiotic was precribed? Hopefully your ferret will respond to it.
If not then perhaps a biopsy would be called for, but then again, you
already mentioned three nodes were aspirated with no odd cells located..

At age 6 years your ferret is in it's senior years. The immune system
may be compromised at this age, so a discussion with your vet as to
feasible treatments and procedures would be a good thing to address.

Many symptoms can pop up in short order in elder ferrets. This
condition could be something as simple as an ulcer, or a dental or
gum infection. Were those checked? Also an enlarged spleen is
usually an indicator of infection or lymphoma.
How is your ferrets lower abdomen? Is is enlarged? Is it hard to
the touch? .

Getting your ferret healthy will help correct that just fine.

Weakness in hind end can also be caused by low blood glucose, but
that would not cause the swollen nodes.

Wishing you the best of luck and a speedy recovery for your kiddo.
