No one knows for sure if Lupron will prevent adrenal disease, it is still just a theory. I have all of my ferrets (currently 14) on Lupron....some as treatment, some as a hopeful preventative. Two of my girls were started at approximately 1 year of age, they are now just over 3 years of age and so far I'm seeing good things (no signs of adrenal disease). Time will tell.
