Obviously ECE is an easy diagnosis to make, in fact in the UK any diarrhoea type symptoms usually end up with a diagnosis of ECE simply as most vets don't know much about ferrets and simply guess from a list of symptoms.

I have never known of a proven diagnosis though, either through a PM or virus testing. I don't even know if ECE is present in the UK.

Can anyone tell me what tests are required so I can make enquiries at the vet school who carried out the PM?

Thanks

Sharon
