Others on this list will know better than me. Sometimes only flagyl will help an illness, but I was under the impression for certain flagyl treatments a treatment of biaxin can be given instead. It's not tolerated much better than the awful flagyl, but I believe it has a shorter treatment period which helps when you feel like you're stressing your ferret with the meds.
Worth checking with your vet about it.
