I know this is probably not the case since your vet said it's a lymph gland, but for clarification, where is the lump? If it's at the injection site, where is that (on the back of the neck?)

I just vaccinated over a dozen ferrets on one day with distemper shots, and about 1/3 developed lumps, some reddish lumps. All lumps have gone away but it took 4 days to a week for all to disappear.

I know in dogs, there have been cases where a vaccine causes temporary lymph node swelling. Otherwise, my experiences as an owner have always been lymphoma.
