This arrived as a reply to an unrelated post without
a subject line that is related. Since flea med is
mentioned I think the poster means fleas.=20

It does not say what type of flea med was used
and unfortunately many of the types gotten from
pet stores can damage ferret's bone marrow, so
the first step is to check with the vet.

If a safe form was used then this will help:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/FHL3005

WHAT FLEA MED WAS USED? IF IT IS NOT ONE YOUR
VET SOLD TO YOU THEN WHAT IS THE NAME, WHO IS
THE MAKER, HOW MUCH DID YOU USE, AND WHAT SORT
OR ANIMAL DOES THE PACKAGE SAY IT CAN BE USED ON?

Are you in the U.S.?

If a dangerous form of flea med was used the$60 fee
for animal poison control is per case:

soned.html>

BEGIN QUOTE
Call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center
The telephone number is (888) 426-4435. There is a $60 consultation fee for=
this service.
Be ready with the following information:
The species, breed, age, sex, weight and number of animals involved.
The animal=92s symptoms.
Information regarding the exposure, including the agent (if known), the amo=
unt of the agent involved and the time elapsed since the time of exposure.
Have the product container/packaging available for reference.
Please note: If your animal is having seizures, losing consciousness, is un=
conscious or is having difficulty breathing, telephone ahead and bring your=
pet immediately to your local veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic.=
If necessary, he or she may call the APCC.

There is also another branch of at Angell Memorial Hospital unless that has=
changed:

Call the Angell Animal Poison Control Hotline at 1-877-2ANGELL. 24 hours a =
day =85 veterinary help is just a phone call away!

To help pet caretakers deal with these emergencies, the Angell Animal Medic=
al Center has teamed up with the ASPCA's board-certified veterinary toxicol=
ogists to offer a unique 24/7 poison hotline. Help is now just a phone call=
away.

and I believe their fee is the same.]
