We rarely encounter fleas or ear mites, but use the Revolution primarily as a preventive measure against heartworm. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitos and is nearly 100% fatal when contracted by ferrets. So we use Revolution during the 'mosquito months' here in Connecticut, generally April thru September, then don't use it the rest of the year.
