Ashley,
My ferret's front left leg was amputated this past May, very similar
circumstances. So far, she is not showing any signs of the cancer having
spread anywhere else and she is so much happier without the huge leg/tumor.
She gets around great, she's taught herself how to wash her face and scratch
without the leg, she can climb into cozy's 3 times her height...she amazes
me every day. On top of that, she's 7 yrs old and has had insulinoma for 18
months. Contact me off list if you have specific questions as Scooner
recovers. Best wishes for his surgery tomorrow.
