Hilbert's blood glucose number was an equipment problem.

I don't know if it was the primary equipment or the strips.
On searching on the FDA site I've found recalls of both at
different times during the years and I don't know which they
used, but they are aware of it now.

His glucose on the send-out blood work was fine, just
as it had been fine 2 weeks before. Big relief. I was
very worried about one of the more serious non-insulinoma
problems since he'd been normal just 2 weeks before.

WHEW!

His red cell count is improving but still a little low so that will
be checked again in 3 weeks.

His behavior is normal and he is very active.
