Thank you to everyone who replied. The vet is treating Tocho now for ulcer,
though the only symptom he has is diarrhea. She believes that we should do
this protocol, then go down 'the list' for IBD, etc. if this doesn't work.
She said that it could be that he does still have giardia, though none of
the others have symptoms, etc. now.. because something is impeding his
immune system. I think she's leaving checking for lymphoma as a last
resort, as she's not even suggested it yet.

Tocho is now on amoxi and metronodazole (sp?) combo, which is the first time
this combo has been tried. Also, in the past the other bottles did not say
to refrigerate, but these do! Maybe the other wasn't effective because of
being out of the refrigerator???

He has diarrhea today, and it comes and goes. Normal, not normal, normal,
etc. So I'm still waiting to see what happens with this.

One of these meds can't be given with pred, though. She isn't the usual vet
who sees my kidz, but she has on occasion and is a 'ferret doc.' So she
asked while looking in his chart if he were on pred for anything, and said
she had to ask because of the medications she was prescribing him.

but he's also eating like a little pig too. So his appetite has remained
good, energy level good. And he's even being good about taking the
metranodazole (sp?)... where he was gagging, spitting and peeing during the
taking of that stuff.
