To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

This is just more information on my ferret's situation, which may provide some more insight and perhaps give clues to what might be going on here....

This gum lesion started up in March, so accoring to 2 vets, it's most likely not squamous cell carcinoma. the clavamox has been completed. I'm continuing with the medicinal mushrooms (reishi). All seems to be going well, except there is still a red-purple are that's a slight bump/tumor in the creased interface between the gum and the lip on the lower jaw near the incisors (a really crummy location for surgical removal)
I've been adding a small amount of Co-q10 for nutritional support since it's recommended for gum health. seems like things are under control, but I'd love to seen this thng disappear completely.
I prefer traditional meds as a cure, but for now, the supplements are definitely effective. ( I was gone for 5 days - the gum tissue was not as good when I returned. I started the supplements up again, and the swelling/redness regressed once again.)

Any ideas???

Many Thanks,
-jennifer
