Subject: [ferrethealth] Diazoxide for ferrets with insolinoma instead of pred????
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have a ferret that has adrenal disease and now diagnosed with insolinoma (bg 79).
She said that the protocal for insolinoma or should I say ferrets with adrenal disease that have insolinoma is using diazoxide instead of pred. Any thoughts on this one? I just ordered the diazoxide and will be picking it up Monday. I know it is expensive.
My vet goes to monthly meetings/studies and that is where she had heard it as well about the Desloralin. Sukie and others, what are your thoughts?
