My experience with Diazoxide was not the greatest either and using it alone I don't think is as effective if at all. It usu is used in combination with the pred to try and keep the pred dose down when the doses are getting high. And for those that the doses are so high you run out of options but a signifcant difference in effectiveness has not been see in the patients I have been treating. I am retrying it in some ferrets that I don't want to increase pred any longer.
FYI for all there is a compounding pharmacy out of Texas, that is the most reasonably priced on everything I have ever needed. So you might want to check them out. Veterinary Pharmacies of America. Search online for the phone number. All the best.
