Your vet would have wanted to make sure that
it was not eosinophilic enteritis or a malignancy.

We have two who have on and off diarrhea. Both of them
are "garbage bellies" who look for hard to see pieces of
human food that can upset their bellies, such as cereal
pieces. One of them also sneaks licks of soap if he can
get a piece. When they do those things they get the runs.
When they don't, they don't.
