Subject: [ferrethealth] x ray shows right adrenal gland
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
my new vet did an xray it showed the right adrenal gland has some hardening in it.
Since my ferret is 8 yrs of age , he suggested to take the wait and see aproach. He said probally 2 more yrs. and then maybe it it might be time to say good by. he is considered 2% adrenal at this time.
anyone have any opinions??
He just had a lump on the underside of his left leg removed and is doing wonderful since the surgery 2 weeks ago. Waiting to hear the results of his biopsy. Oddly enough.. he got this lump 2 days after a rabies shot and the lump got bigger.
[X-rays are not a sufficient way to look at an adrenal gland
typically, and I have no idea what you mean by "2% adrenal".
Could you have your vet clarify for you, please? Does this mean
that most of that adrenal has been calcified?
