Subject: [ferrethealth] Worried about my Jumo
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi everybody,
I would like help from all of you. Opinions & anything.... I'll appreciate it.

I just had been noticing my 1 yr old female ferret, Jumo, gagging sometimes. I thought she was choking but as I checked her mouth, nothing was there. Is it possible that the gags were caused by cedar bedding since she had been living in cedar bedding for like 10 months before I adopted her. [As I adopted her, I removed Cedar bedding because I know that Cedar can cause respiratory problems and all that] Is it normal... gags sometimes?

Another thing about her... I let my two ferrets free for hours everyday. Bosko, another ferret, always played around over two hours before he went to sleep... but for Jumo, she only plays for an hour then goes to sleep. Is it related? Respiratory problem? Please let me know what you think or your ferret may have same symptoms. What is it? Is it normal at all?

Thanks for listening & let me know what you think.. or anything to help my Jumo.
