Oral melatonin given at about the time of Winter sunset in large enough
amounts (about 1 to 3 mg) and providing plenty of darkness can help
but if there is adrenal disease then they are not going to help by much.

Surgery is the best option for such a young ferret, but when it can
not be afforded the next best thing is to provide a Melatonin
IMPLANT
http://www.melatek.net/
AND
EITHER
Lupron DEPOT
or
deslorelin IMPLANT.

The reason to use the two together when possible is because they work
in different ways so there is more benefit to using both.

In the U.S. the second one still has to be imported. See the
separate FHL Archives.

If you can not afford Lupron depot or deslorelin implant
then at least get the melatonin implant

How was adrenal disease diagnosed? It can happen in such
very young ferrets but rarely so an aggressive stance is best if
that is really what is present.

Adrenal disease that is ineffectively treated or untreated can
result in a host of problems, from minor ones, to quality of
life ones like muscle loss, to life threatening ones such as
urinary blockages and anemia.
