That is actual quite different from what I've been told.

I think this is something to check on.

Now, do hyperplasias of assorted types have a significant
portion of them later develop hallmarks of malignancy
such as anaplasia? For some types of growths in certain
species, yes, but even then it is not a 100% thing, and
for some types of hyperplasia there is a low rate of such
changes in any given species.

Further, not all forms of malignancy in all species are very
prone to metastasis.

So, it will be a rate thing and I not only don't know the
rate in this situation, I also don't offhand recall any actual
research to obtain the rate.

So, yes, having hyperplasia present, especially if untreated
or insufficiently treated increases the chances of later
malignancy, but I doubt it is a 100% situation.
