Baby orajel does contain benzocaine, a much smaller amount than the adult version. The orajel tooth and gum cleanser is the ingredients you listed, which are meant to act as plaque removers ( what baby has to worry about plaque??)>
The one for teeting has the benzocaine for pain relief. Which would be the one a ferret owner would want to use if the purpose was for pain relief due to swollen gums/etc.
I don't know about safety in ferrets, as I doubt was ever tested in them, but would agree with you, if not sure then say no.

Thanks for the various responses. However, the question is about the effectivity and/or toxicity specifically of Baby Orajel. The situation posed is the unavailability of vet treatment at the time for the client. (ref below)
