Part of the problems with the Tenn Panel on
adrenal ferrets is that it only measures a
limited number of hormones ( 6 I believe) and
there are a number of other hormones that can be
elevated beyond by hyper adrenal syndrome. That
is why you may likely get a false negative with this test.
Keeping in mind recent studies have
deternmiined that adrenal issues arise 4 years
after spay/neuter due to the endorcine system being taxed....
I would forego the tests and rely on symptomatic presentations.
We find the pattern balding,to be pretty darned
accurate with our adrenal ferrets!
