Subject: [ferrethealth] Firm Belly... Rotten tooth... Picky Snacker
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
My baby girl Shelly has had a firm belly for a few days, she is not showing any sign of discomfort or pain. She's been eating, playing, pooping, peeing and pestering like normal. I am going to seperate her to keep a better eye on her poop and activities, since its not to easy to figure out who's poo is who's with 4 of them. lol. I am concerned but should i be more concerned? I plan on taking her in when i get paid if she hasn't returned to her squishy belly self. My question's are... is there something i can do to help her pass what ever is making her belly firm? or more importantly should i take her NOW instead of pay day.
Also i adopted my other ferret Kelly a while ago. Her previous owner did not clean her teeth bc a few of them are rotting. She eats plays (alot) and pesters just fine but i notices one of the rotted teeth did fall out, i was not aware of this untill today. she still acts as she always did... vibrant, happy, full of life, loves playing, nibbling, eating like a little pigglet. She also lets me touch them also she is not a fan of sitting still long enough to let me clean them 100%. is there something i can do to make sure she's not just acting like a tough girl. untill i can get them all pulled and since it is only on one side.. will she still be able to eat fine?
One last question. Doby is happy and healthy but i am unable to get him to eat his vitamin mix. he doesnt even acknowledge it. he doesnt like ferritone, treats, etc and wont eat chicken or duck soup. I feed all of my babies Purina kitten chow which i dont think is enough, i did mix it Zupreeme but shelly would regurgitate/vomit once in a while and when i took it away it quit. so i have not felt comfortable mixing it in with their food anymore.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
