Just to let you know that a female is spayed (ovariohysterectomy) and a male is neutered (orchidectomy) but the hormones dont disappear as soon as the surgery is done, it takes time for them to dissipate so yes he will still be thinking of the girls for a little while yet, that is normal.
I dont know what to suggest about the rear end weakness, the only one I have had do that was after a large mast cell tumor was removed from her back, she still to this day crawls on her belly and we have no idea why. Otherwise she seems fine and happy.
