I have a little bit to offer you...remember even tho she will be having the
leg removed, she will still experience what we call phantom pains. They are
very real and the brain doesnt realize the leg is no longer there. It wont
be like post op after a few weeks u stop giving her pain meds. Phantom pains
are a very REAL phenomena and we treat them (I'm an r.n.) as if the leg ,arm
etc. Is still there. So if after surgery wounds and incisions heal she
seems to be in pain, treat it as such. Exercise is ok, she knows her limits
...exercise wont spread the cancer. But u need to keep her limited and on
the ground after surgery until healed and sutures out, etc. I hope this
helps and good luck. If I think of anything else I will add it.
