Subject: [ferrethealth] Salivary Mucocele photo illustration and information

One of my ferrets as a baby had a mucocele on his throat. He had to have it surgically fixed. My vet did try draining it a few times and it kept refilling up. She eventually marsupialized it and it never came back. Surgery for this area is very tricky as there are so many blood vessels involved, so this was the best way. Hope this helps.
