Subject: [ferrethealth] Coco's bald head
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My Coco's hair keeps thinning on the top of her head. It's been thin since the beginning of winter but looks more and more sparse lately, almost bald. She has no hair loss anywhere else, and no other symptoms of adrenal. She's not itchy but she does love to lie on her back and rub her head against things. Could this be the reason?

She is overweight as of winter. She always gets those fat pads around her neck which we had the vet check a couple of winters ago and they feel the same as they did then. She loves food a little too much, but she's active and happy, and jumps her chubby butt around.

They play rough sometimes, I have found patches of hair missing from the top of Basil's head. At first I thought someone was ripping out Coco's but now I'm not so sure.

Any other reasons for hair loss on the top of the head?

Thanks!
Jaime

[Baldness in a monk pattern is among the more
common fur loss patterns with adrenal disease.
