I once had a male that did the same thing too one of my older females ... S=
pencer didn't do it to any of the other ferrets except for Lucy and would d=
o so to the point that Lucy's ear would be red and distended ... but she al=
ways allowed him to do it without ever being aggressive.=C2=A0 I always not=
iced that she would go into a trance like state whenever Spencer was on her=
ear ... and always wondered if it was a form of exhibiting nursing - type =
behaviors.=C2=A0
