Update on Woody.
Woody went to his usual vet, a scan suggested a blockage.
The vet opened Woody up and could not find a blockage. His guts were inflamed ulcerated, his spleen was enlarged, biopsy taken. The lymph node near his stomach enlarged and biopsied. Some abnormal activity in the stomach. He is straining when he defecates and has small stools.
Bloods had high globulin and platelets and low RBC count. He is on antibiotics and having painkillers in the hospital and is kept in for now. If his RBC count goes up and he seems brighter then he may be able to come home to wait for the results of the biopsies The low RBC count and anaemia would explain the lethargy but obviously there is a lot more going on than anaemia.
