This sounds similiar to a problem with my Suki at about a year old.
She urinated excessivly but not uncontrollably. Her urine was found to contain crystals, hemolyzed blood, enterococcus, leucocytes and protein. The crystals were diagnose as both struvite and oxalate the urine Ph was 6.0.
It was eventually realised that the crystals were an artifact of urine concentration due to time delays between collection and analysis
and the enterococcus was fixed with antibiotics. A simple but confusing urinary infection.
Tony (not a vet), Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
