Subject: [ferrethealth] Itchy butt problem
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have a 3 year old female fixed and descended (Marshall's ferret).=A0 She =
has what we've been calling itchy butt syndrome (our own name nothing scien=
tific or medical involved).=A0 She will quite often stop where ever she is =
and act like she is going to the bath room but not go, drag her bottom and =
run and play.=A0 She also will go to the bathroom in the middle of the floo=
r.=A0 She sometimes uses the litter box but she isn't too choosy when it co=
me time to go.
=A0
The problem is she looks like she is trying to go to the bathroom and drags=
her bottom like she has gone to the bathroom but hasn't.=A0 She did have w=
hat looked like C. Diff in her stool and her this problem seemed to decreas=
e in frequency when she was on Clavamox but she still has it.=A0
=A0
We don't know what to think.=A0 Her stools seem normal usually quite small =
and kind of soft.=A0 We have not seen her with liquid like stools just smal=
l ones but she is fairly small at not quite 2 lbs.
=A0
Any ideas?
=A0
Thank you
=A0
Mike
