I have 2 ferrets on Deslorelin (supralorin).
Sugar is now at month 18 since first implant (second implant at 12 months.
Suki is now at month 6 since first implant.
Both are fit and well with no adrenal symptoms at all.
I have never read any report of side effects from deslorelin. Dogs have been tested at 10 times recommended dose without ill effects.
As well as dogs deslorelin is used to treat cats, horses, sheep and other animals, I have never heard of side effects with any animal except for some "feminisation" in male dogs (the same as castration)

Some links that confirm the lack of side effects

Deslorelin (like lupron) can be used as a diagnostic with no ill effects. it is cheaper and only requires a vet visit every 12 months (nominal) for 4.7mg implant.

Tony (not a vet), Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
