Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Amputated foot
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

They usually manage fine, BUT ferrets are
pretty prone to tissue retraction where
amputations have happened (having had
4 with different types of amputations in
the last almost 30 years) so follow-up
surgery may be needed to achieve a good
tissue pad and avoid exposed bone.

I hope that your question appears soon.

The poster is asking about things to know for
a ferret whose mother accidently removed a
foot.
