Subject: [ferrethealth] Mornie update

We are greatly relieved to be able to say that Mornie's
ultrasound results did not look like lymphoma.
She does have a huge right adrenal and that happened
very suddenly so it is probably carcinoma. Our vet,
who is a ferret vet, has only seen one this large in his
years of practice. The Cava would have to ligated
probably if surgery were done, so right now we are
hoping that deslorelin works. It sometimes does for
carcinoma in an adrenal. Lupron didn't have any effect
at any dose and with close repeat.
So, we are very relieved because for an adrenal lymphoma
is a worse diagnosis.
It's not as good as typical adrenal disease would be but
a lot better than lymphoma would be.
