One of our kits this year (he's about ten weeks old right now) had his mother do the same thing. Honestly, it doesn't seem to slow him down at all, and there seems to be plenty of tissue covering the bone. I don't anticipate any issues at all as he grows/matures and ages, based on experience from other breeders who have had the same thing happen. We'll be keeping him - he's actually the best hob in the litter and we hope to be able to breed him despite the handicap - so I'll be able to watch for any health concerns, but I think we're going to be fine. The only thing you might anticipate is some rubbing/irritation of the stump if on a rough surface.

Our little guy's name, btw, is RN's Footloose and Fancy Free. :)
