Subject: [ferrethealth] Update on Isis, Orion & Shiitake

I went to the vet today and now have an idea of how all 5 of ours are doing.
ORION: He's healthy. We had an ECG done on him today. He is at risk for cardiomyopathy so we will get the test done again in 3-6 months.
SHIITAKE: He's healthy. It is a possibility that he has adrenal disease and because of that I am going to order a melatonin implant and then have the doctor administer it.
ISIS: She still has shown a great increase in hair loss. I am also going to order a melatonin implant for her. And she will be receiving monthly Lupron shots for the first 3 months. Then maybe I'll start going every 6 weeks, then every 8 weeks and see if she's doing okay with going every other month. Other than that she is healthy.
AQUILO: He's still healthy
LUNA: She's still healthy.

[NEVER give the Lupron Depots further apart than they should be
given or any adrenal disease present can be worsened. It's the
same mechanism as with not using 24 hour Lupron:
