Hi there,There a few things you can add to your food mix.....Separate egg y=
olks into a container and with each meal add some of just the yolk to the f=
ood mix.=A0 You can also mash some raw chicken liver into the mix as well.=
=A0 I also take the chicken skin and fat bits that come off a roasting chic=
ken and let it simmer for 20 minutes, remove the skin that is left and cool=
it in the fridge.=A0 Each meal you can add some of this fat to the food mi=
x, warmed gently and even finger feed your fuzzy the mixture.=A0 Mine love =
this mix and my baby girl keeps her weight up by my keeping this added to h=
er food a couple times a week after her weight got back to where it should =
be.=A0 The youngsters need the extra fat too.
Good luck to you both!Jilli + 2

[It is usually advised to avoid raw foods during
illness because a compromised ferret can catch
diseases from raw foods much more easily than
one who is well, especially things to which they
are often more resistant like salmonella which is
quite common in poultry and eggs in the U.S.
Salmonella can be very hard to treat in ferrets
though ferrets who are well do not often get it.

taking precautions like cooking and when they are
especially needed in

If there are birdseed stools then fats are not being
digested well because those are lipid balls and then
you do not want to increase the fat intake. What
the stools look like is another question for the
original poster.
