Subject: [ferrethealth] Lupron depot injection and confirmation questions
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I took Mojave in on the 11th to get his Lupron Depot injection and I'm not sure if the tech administered it IM. The last time I was in the room for the injection he really made a fuss because it hurt him so much. This time he did not do anything but drink the Ferretone: No twitching, No whining, Nothing. Is it possible for him to get so used to being injected IM that it doesn't hurt him anymore? (It was in the hind leg and they switch legs everytime he gets it done)

Is there any way to confirm that he does have the Lupron in his system?
Usually soon after having the depot he perks right up but now he just seems to be getting worse. He's been acting lethargic and has been sleeping more. I'm really beginning worry about him.

I did make an appointment for him to see the vet on Monday but I just want to be armed with the information before I go in there accusing them without having any proof or any knowledge of how to prove that it wasn't done IM.

If there is no way to prove it, any suggestions on what I should do?

Mojave is a 6 year old Path Valley Farm ferret who's had adrenal disease for a couple of years now.

Thank you in advance,
Sheryl
